Moderate quake jolts Gujarat

Ahmedabad: An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit Gujarat state Thursday night, the Seismology department said.
The quake, which had its epicentre in Junagad district of Gujarat, hit the region at 8.49 p.m., an official told IANS over phone.
The epicentre, with a focal depth of 10 km, was stated to be 21.2 degrees north latitude and 70.7 degrees east longitude.
